Nice School of Dance Studio 3

I've been dancing at this studio for several years now and I have nothing but great things to say about it! I do agree that the waiting area is very small and the classes are sometimes large but I would (and have) reccomend it to anyone. I started with just ballet, but i was enjoying the classes so much that i decided to take other classes. All the teachers have an understanding of dance and how to teach their students. They are so patient and are willing to take the time to make sure that you're learning. I'm so grateful for all the technique they've taught me. I've been sucessful in all my dancing endevors (auditions and such) becuase i've been prepared so well. I've never seen any favoritism within the studio. I'm so excitied for my fall classes, for this year and for many years to come!

Pros: patient teachers/knowledgable staff, fun recitals

I find it amusing that the reviewer from carolina has only reviewed two places and both of them on the same day. One is Nice Dance and the other is Golden Slippers, where the owner of nice dance used to teach. My daughter used to go to Nice, sadly one of her favorite teachers moved to North Carolina. She enjoyed her time there. I only saw the owners daughter in rehearsals and she did not get special treatment there. The studio is cramped, maybe they are taking on too many students, maybe they should move to a larger space. The parking area is crowded and pick up and drop off can be difficult.

Nice is a fantastic family oriented school with good solid technical training. Yes the waiting room is too small and it can get crowded..but that is a small price to pay for a studio that LOVES your kids and really wants to see them succeed! In addition the owner makes sure that every routine, evey costume and every piece of music is clean and wholesome and age apporpriate! No fishnets on 5 yr olds at this school! Recitals are made to be enjoyed by all and conclude with a lovely reception where the main story characters ( the senior students) walk around in costume for children to have picture ops. Overall these folks are a welcoming family and the studio is a great place to dance!

Pros: genuine concern for the students, wonderful technique, great recitals, good price

Cons: classes can be a little large at times..but always have an assistant instructor present if they are!

and i personally find it amusing that someone who has a child dancing at the studio has only seen the owners daughter at rehersals, so she would not know how the daughter is treated. For someone who was trained at an excellent studio before being moved to Nice, it was a shock to see a studio that could not manage to split levels into more classes, when your a student that can handle switch leaps and double to triple pirouttes, to a "level 6" class that doesnt even know how to turn one piroutte is annoying, especially when the owner and teachers refuse to let you live up to your talent. it is absolutely ridiculous. I would NOT reccomend this place to anyone, its disgusting, dirty, the people are rude and treat parents and students unfairly, and the shows are annoyingly too long, it is a dance recital, not a theatrical production for gods sake. if you would love for your child to get the attention they deserve and the technique that will get them places in the dance world. i would reccomend, ENGERY LEVEL DANCE STUDIO. it is a brilliant studio with caring teachers and owner who takes each specific students needs into consideration and is a challenge for whomever registars and takes classes there.

Pros: There are no pros of this studio.

Cons: Small, Dirty, Rude, Unfair, Obvious Favoritism

I would like let you know about nice school of dance if you look at things from the outside yes the waiting area is to small. but the quality of instruction, the caring about the children, knowing your children are looked after all thats whats important . and any time you want to know about events coming up all you have to do is ask ?s someone will find the answer.this is our 2nd year with the studio and would recommend it to any one, any one unhappy with the service or the recital my answer to you is get involved,

Pros: great instructors

Unfortunatly my experience has differed greatly from the other posts. My daughter has been attending Nice 3 for the past two years, and I have been horribly dissatisfied. While her instructors Ms Sherry and Ms. Tara are WONDERFUL, the studio is always messy, including the bathrooms. The waiting area is very small and very crowded, and if you are able to talk to the lady at the front desk, she is downright unfriendly and disorganized. The tuition is the cheapest in town, but i would gladly pay more for better service and cleanliness. The shows at the end of the year are very grand, but stressful for the children and parents invloved. I have yet to get all the information I need for the recital (which is tomorrow), but again this is due to the disorganization at the front desk.

Pros: great price, convenient location, great teachers

Cons: dirty, rude receptionist

My daughter has been dancing for 7 years. She has been dancing at Nice School of Dance since they first opened on Princess Anne Road 5 years ago. If you want your child to learn technique, this is the studio for you! If you want a studio that cares about each child's individual progress as a dancer, this is the studio for you. If you want to see a dance recital that is like a "dance version" of a musical on Broadway, this is the studio for you. If you want to get the most for your money, this is the studio for you. Their prices are the best I've seen, highly qualified dance instructor's teach my daughter, AND these teachers truly care about my daughter's individual progress/success as a dancer. Nice School of Dance is THE BEST Dance Studio in all of Hampton Roads.

My daughter has been dancing at this studio for the past 4 years and it has been the best experience for our entire family. The studio also has adult classes and my daughter and I have gotten closer and now both take classes, which means we perform in the recitals together too! This is something she will always remember. This is what's important to our family. The fun, time together, and the memories. The staff is great along with music/costume selection and TASTEFUL dancing. The teachers love the children and make them each feel special and loved.
