just got back from going to lone star with family and friends,i have eaten there on many ocations and always have had a very great time there and tonight was no excition,great wait staff who are very hot by the way.the restaurant has a very family friendly feel about the place.i have eaten across the street from them and did not like it at all.tonight i had the surf and turf with a baked sweet potatoe loaded of coruse.the drinks are very good and are waittress was very nice and friendly to my son,witch i thought was great.i must say i don't know how they get the steak to cut so easy. i would send anyone of my friends there

I came in on a Saturday night in the middle of the rush, expecting an hour long wait. Imagine my surprise when I was paged 15 minutes later! I had a delicious steak and my husband had ribs, but I ordered my steak medium rare, not realizing that I should have ordered it well done, and when I told my server, she took it back to have it recooked with no problem at all even though I was in the wrong. She did an excellent job. The hostess was also very friendly. We have a baby and a seven-yr-old, and she didn't ignore him while cooing over the baby, which most do. She remembered their names and while passing by, thoughtfully asked them if they were having fun. It's my favorite restaurant and I've been to dozens.
Pros: Short wait, Good Parking, Excellent Service

Recently, my wife & I attended this specific Lonestar Steakhouse, and disorder & mahem was the only convinence to find. The wait staff avoided us like the plauge, loud bostrious arguments overheard constantly coming from the kitchen area, and the food overseasoned with their spice, even though we had requested special no-salt fries (my wife cant tolerate NaCl). How is it possible that a resturant can operate like this?
Pros: Peanuts, art deco on walls, ???
Cons: Poor Wait Staff, Kitchen Arguments, No Mngt. support

Lone Star has the best ribs in all of virginia. There is nothing better than having ribs that have such tender meat it just slides right off the bone. Their crab legs are delicious, and for the money it's all worth it.

Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon has got to be hands down the best restaurant in Tidewater to get a delicious steak--any meal for that matter. I've had the pleasure of dining there numerous times and the food and service are impecable. Take my word for it, it's the best!!
