User Reviews for Chesapeake Pizza

The best pizza in Hampton Roads, in our opinion. Fast service, quality food, courteous staff, plenty of parking and easy on the wallet. The parking lot is normally about 3/4 full, especially on weekends--but that's a testament to the taste and down home atmosphere!

Pros: Fast service when not too busy. Great location in Great Bridge. Cheap

Cons: Parking lot fills up on the weekends

My girlfriend and I have been regulars here for the past four years and the pizza is AMAZING! (Just greasy enough and served hot and fresh) For a couple, you only need about 15 dollars (that price includes tips) to pay for a large pizza and two drinks. Great value, excellent service, relaxed/laid-back atmosphere. I strongly recommend Chesapeake Pizza to anyone who wants to try the best pizza ever (I may be exaggerating, but I don't think so), but, I went to NYC and had real NYC Pizza and Chesapeake Pizza is far better.

Pros: Pizza, Service, Atmosphere, Value, Parking

Cons: Busy on the Weekends

I've been coming to this restaurant since it was a hole in the wall in the 70's and the pizza is still fabulous! Everything's homemade and fresh--a nice change from restaurants that nuke the food. Also, as an Asian-American, I can say I've never had a problem of not being seated or served. A great family-sty;le place!

Pros: resonable prices, clean, homemade pizzas

Chesapeake Pizza is the homemade taste of Italy. This is not your normal imitation pizza. I wish we had more places like this to eat at these days.

We stopped at Chesapeake Pizza a couple of months after moving to Great Bridge. The pizza was delicious, the bread sticks were good, and the salads are great. Highly recommended.

Pros: Good parking, Great help, delicious aromas

A traditional "Mom and Pop" pizzeria. Pizza is the main course of the menu and they do it well!

Pros: convinient, nice people, great pizza

Cons: dated decor

Visiting relatives in Chesapeake VA. Wanted Pizza and saw the reviews on this site pro and con for Chesapeake Pizza. I also will give a negative review. First of all the crust was thicker and tasted like pizza huts pan pizza. The sauce was OK, but the crust ruined it for us. The customer service was not very good either. We will not return and would not recomend to anyone else. The price was also very expensive.

Pros: Sauce

Cons: Crust

They will not let you dine in if you are a different race or color. That is discrimination and it is unfathomable in these days. I was very disappointed in their service and attitude.

Cons: Discrimanatory, Rude, Not polite

This is the best pizza anywhere in the country. I miss it badly. They have nothing in the desert southwest that even comes close to Chesapeake Pizza. Even Socal is lacking. They could sure use some lessons for pizza making out here in the west. But I suppose every pizza maker in America can learn something from these guys at Chesapeake Pizza. I envy all those who can still get it!

Pros: Pizza is AWESOME

Small restaurant serves large New York style pizza slices and offers reasonable prices.  See the full editorial review.
