Editorial Review for The Melting Pot – by Cindy Locke

In Short
Booths equipped with tabletop fondue pots are clustered together inside the intimate dining room. Start with a cheese fondue, including an assortment of breads, veggies and fruits for dipping. Entrees include lobster, center-cut filet, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections served with a variety of dipping sauces. For dessert, try the flaming turtle, a mix of chocolate and caramel flambéed tableside, served with nut-covered marshmallows, fresh fruit, pound cake, brownies and cheesecake.

When to Go

Cooking on forks takes time--something to keep in mind if you've got after-dinner plans. It's a great place for people just getting to know each other or who truly enjoy each other's company.

This paticular resturant is a little over an hour from our house,so we usually only go once or twice a year. Its always good though. My 4 year old is picky,so this resturant is a Friday/Sat night,we have a babysitter lined up place! We almost always order the "Big Night Out" which is a packaged meal for 2 including desert. I love the cheese appetizer,my wife raves over the chocolate finish and we enjoy all in between! Everything is always fresh and you can subsitute one meat, etc with more of somthing else if desired (IE Im not horribly fond of their pork and would prefer more terriaki steak anyway!!!!) Highly reccomended.

Pros: Great food,very romantic

Cons: Plan on spending $100 plus for two for the full course meals

I took my husband here for his birthday. Of course I had to make reservations but it was so cool. They asked me over the phone if it was for a special occasion. It seems that they have something for every occasion like birthday, anniversary, and other things. I had to take our 1 year old since I couldn't get a sitter that night and even though he was fussy they still where nice. They brought him some snacks for free and had a cup with a top on it for him. It was a great experiance I would and have suggested to anyone. They are clean, the serve is great, you get to cook your food sort its funny and fun.

Pros: Grest service, good for familys, good for any occasion

Cons: none that i could see
