Steel Pulse has been making socially-conscious, feel-good reggae tunes for more than 30 years, having formed in England in 1975. To the band's credit, Steel Pulse found commercial acceptance on its own terms, keeping reggae as the foundation of the genre-busting mix of styles. These days, the trio (led by David Hinds) maintains a dedicated cult following and tours consistently.
