I firmly believe that property improvement contracts are given to contractors based on friendship, personal association etc. and not based on cost passed on to homeowners. When homeowners meet and are adamantly against a project it is done anyway because the property manager WANTS to give the contract to his friend - friend was AT THE HOMEOWNERS MEETING!!!- should be illegal. Homeowners are lied to in meetings concerning whether or not homeowners will be given a vote on said project.. Told that there would be a vote on a HUGE - EXPENSIVE project - later NO VOTE WAS GIVEN. HOA fees were raised exorbitatnt amount to cover project.
Pros: Can't think of a single thing - they cover their tracks
Cons: Cannot be trusted to look out for homeowners
