As dusk settles over the pretty façade of this old-fashioned home, and the lamps are lit in the cozy living room, there are few more welcoming sights. Day or night, this hilltop estate is as wonderfully old-fashioned as it gets. The B&B is popular with honeymooners and weekend vacationers. It's usually filled up during autumn, when the leaves are changing color.

This is a place for travelers who don't mind intimacy (there are only four rooms) and who adore ornate, over-the-top, bed-and-breakfast décor. Each of the rooms boasts an exquisite four-poster bed, and fabrics range from swags of lace to lush wallpapers. The Rose Victoria, with its pretty white French doors, is a favorite with lovebirds. On the grounds, oak, beech and poplar trees mingle with fountains, courtyards and gardens. Numerous specialty packages are offered.
